Rebuilding "Ground Zero"
Since Friday, September 14th, Alexander Wagner's equipment has been on standby and pumping concrete, 24/7, into the Path Tubes in Jersey City. A 16-foot thick concrete plug has been designed to stop and control the water entering into each of the tunnels from the World Trade Center. Additional projects include the Whitehall Ferry Station and Pier A in Battery Park to facilitate added emergency ferry service needed to access lower Manhattan.
The weight limitations of the wooden walkway (shown above), necessitates the use of a boom pump instead of a conventional trailer pump.
